Applicant privacy notice

WHO WE ARE

Seven Nodes Limited ("Seven Nodes", "we") is responsible for the personal data you give us when you apply for a role. This notice covers applications made through careers.sevennodes.co. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else.

WHAT WE COLLECT

• What you enter in the application form: your name, email, phone number, LinkedIn profile, links to your work, location, availability and your answers to the questions for the role.
• Your CV, if you upload one.
• Technical details sent with the form, such as your IP address and the time you applied. We use these only to block spam and keep the service secure.
• Notes our team makes while assessing your application, and anything you tell us later in the process, such as in interviews.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT SEND US

Please do not include information about your health, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, political views or similar sensitive matters in your CV or answers. We do not need it to assess your application.

HOW WE USE IT

• To assess your application for the role you applied for, and to contact you about it.
• To arrange interviews and, if we make you an offer, to prepare it.
• To keep a record of the decision we made and why.

We use this data because it is necessary to consider entering into an employment contract with you, and because we have a legitimate interest in recruiting people. Your application is read and decided on by people. We do not use automated decision-making to accept or reject applications.

WHO CAN SEE IT

Only the people at Seven Nodes involved in hiring for the role. We store applications with two service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Amazon Web Services, in its London region, and Google Workspace (Google Drive and Google Sheets). We do not sell your data or share it with recruiters or other companies.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We work with people in several countries, and our providers may process data outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or the standard contractual safeguards our providers offer.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We delete your application 12 months after the role is filled. If you join Seven Nodes, the parts we need become part of your employee record and are covered by our employee privacy notice instead. You can ask us to delete your application sooner at any time; doing so withdraws it from consideration.

YOUR RIGHTS

• See the personal data we hold about you.
• Have it corrected if it is wrong.
• Have it deleted.
• Object to or restrict how we use it.
• Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live.
